Removing a 'Hidden filke/partition on a used Hard Drive

I have a salvaged Hard drive that I wish to put into service as master on an older computer.

Having F/disked, set up Active etc, and formatted using the /S command, All seemed well, and when started with Boot from CD to load stuff that worked too. But when booting from the drive Up comes the Message - F10 to restore.

I assume this is a left over from its past life when it had had version of Windows embedded and a restore partition.

So trying various DOS commands from the Universal Boot Disk I use for this type of thing[Yes Win 98 vintage]I have so far faild to find or eradicate the item. Any ideas ?

Try "Rebuild MBR" in Partition Wizard Boot CD?

I find it a very useful tool.

If it ain't that someone else will have to answer cos' my knowledge is thin.
