XP Laptop shuts down when VGA cable for Projector is unplugged

Anybody had this before?

Plug my PJ to my Sony Vaio VGN-TZ31VN laptop for Powerpoint presentations.

When i unplug the VGA cable - XP will shut down!

Any suggestions?

Make sure both the projector and the laptop are switched off before you attempt to connect the devices. Never attempt to attach or unplug cables when a device is turned ON, as doing this may have unpredictable results, and even damage the system.
