My pals PC is running Vista and the only protection I can see is 'Defender'. What recommends are there for further protection?

Remove Defender and install MSE

Add SpywareBlaster as a blocker

Back it up with Malwarebytes free for a weekly scan

and use common sense when browsing. Although northing's perfect that should be enough.

Thanks Fruit Bat. Invaluable once again. Do you prefer MSE to AVG?
