I've got a new acer aspire 5745DG running Windows 7

The problem I have is that Media player will not play DVDs, nor will it play BBC News pop-out.

DVDs will play on ACER Arcade, but when I try and play a DVD through Media Player I just get a black screen.

The BBC news website comes up with a whole load of errors on internet explorer 8:
