recently after one of the many updates i notice that when i send a mail there is an ad for microsoft connection problems which i do not appear to be able to shift any ideas

my thanks for what was a very useful set of tips but it is mainly for firefox, as i use IE8 not of much use maybe firefox is the way to go?

I am using FF and AdblockPlus, I wonder if that is why I've not had the advert problem. (I didn't know it was a problem until I read your thread title... I learn something new every day it seems)
