Scanning Green Red lines

Hi,

I have been sent two scanned line drawings by e mail at separate times that are meant to be identical.

on one drawing there is a diagonal green line. On the other this same line appears half green and then half red. None of the surrounding lines on a white background are affected.

Have I been sent two different and separate drawings or is there a technical reason for this difference?

Any help would be appreciated
