Hi

Could someone help me please. I have just had to re load my pc but I have no sound. I loaded the drivers from the motherboard disc but i kept getting a blue screen so i had to start over. My motherboard is a MSI K8N Neo2 platinum. I am not sure if this has onboard sound. I am really pleased with myself that I have got this far !!! I have also tried going through the device manager but it couldnt load any drivers. In device manager I have yellow question marks on other devices they list as Multimedia audio controler Other PCI bridge device SM bus controller USB Serial bus controler. Please could someone point me to the drivers i need please. Thanks Jan x

Have a look Here

Scroll down through the drivers and don't click on the adverts.

The link changed to the site's home page for some reason so try copying and pasting this to your address bar,

This link will take you to the MSI webpage for your board and here you can see the specification as well as get all the latest official drivers from MSI. Your board does have onboard sound "7.1 channel audio codec RealTek ALC850" according to the website. It also has MSI Live Update 5 which if it is installed will automatically check all the drivers and update them from the MSI website. If you don't trust the disc that came with your motherboard then you can download MSI Live Update 5 from the tab on the website that says Download and then click on Utility.
