I can't think of a way of doing this apart from actually typing in the numbers, which is what I do. There may be a bullet and numbering feature on thisnnew site, but if there is, I can't find it.
Heading
The above are the only two functions the site provides.
The only other way would be to create your post in Office withe bullets etc., then try copying into a post. Bit long winded though, by the time you've created your formatted masterpiece, the thread could well be answered! :))

Crosstrainer
Yes, I tried that (putting in a number, a full stop and a space) but when I went to press enter I got this (without the commas) which displays as just "List Item" in the preview box. No idea how this will turn out so here goes:
,1.,First numbered item ,2.,List Item,
- First numbered item
- List item

A test list Item 2 Item 3 Item 4 Item 5
Okay, I should have increased the font size
The document was created in Pages, as I'm using my iPad at the moment, but Office will do the same.
The PCA site won't I'm afraid:))

It was all created in the box here on screen apart from the other thread which was all done in notepad (or similar)
I think the solution is to know what you're going to say first.
Create your first numbered item using a number a dot and a space. At the end of the sentence press enter and your 2nd line will appear with an incremented number. I'll start this example at number 6.
- Write your first line and press enter. The number changes from what I entered (6) to number 1.
- write your second line. This line automatically starts with a 2
- Third line starts with a 3.
- 4th line. Important to note at this point that the preview box doesn't contain a numbered list, although my previous post at 10.29 didn't either and it put them in when posted. Most confusing.
- Line 5 and that should just about prove the theory.
Carriage return twice and we're out of the numbered list. click POST and see what occurs . . . :)
