Computer freezing issues

Ok so ever since I bought my computer I've had problems with it, should have really taken it back to the shop right now but I've been determined to fix it by myself.

Its always been pretty bad but recently its become unbareable to use and I have no idea whats wrong with it. The CPU is fine, when it freezes the usage still stays low, around 2-8%

I've scanned the computer for malware, done registry boosters, deleted files. Updated graphics card drivers. But nothing seems to be helping this problem, I don't see how a fairly powerful computer can be slower than my Asus notebook, its just ridiculous.

The graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 230

The PSU is a ISO-480PP

I've also had errors with Windows 7 itself, certain features fail to work and sometimes windows I have open will freeze randomly.

Any advice will be great appreciated,

This may be due to conflicts between programs that were installed when you get your system. and those you installed after yo set it up.

Security is a common conflict where the system comes with a trial program, and without removing it correctley the user puts there own on.

I would suggest you check what was preinstalled inc trial programs, with what you are in fact useing
