DVD video conversion to ipod touch

I purchased an touch and i tried to convert UDF video files recorded on my DVD recorder (panasonic)in itunes,but it is unable to do it as they are not recognised,is there a way of doing this? thanks.

Sorry for the delay,i happened to mention my query to my son"s friend, he advised me to download, next ipod converter, its works very well,just put in a DVD and it will convert it,and it is free,thanks again.
