NERO - AVCHD DVD TO PLAY IN SONY BLU-RAY PLAYER?

A friend has a 12GB video project of HD video, photo and music he has created in Nero. The file is too big to transfer to DVD and his new laptop only has a BD-Rom so no writer.

Can he export the project in another format like AVCHD to DVD and play on his Sony Player (not PS3, just standalone Blu-ray machine)?

Thanks in advance, Matt

He could convert to SD and that would come down considerably in size . You can put avchd on an standard dvd and that will play on a bluray player as HD but you can only get about 20mins app on
