How can i change my Microsoft setting back to default?

A while ago I changed the colouring of my Microsoft background and letters. Does anyone know how I can change it back to default?

In xp I think you right click the desktop and select properties then the appearence tab where you can restore to xp default. In 7 right click desktop and select personalize.

In Vista. Right click desktop personalize, Color Appearances , set standard, or Vista Basic.
