Help - I currently have a wireless router supplied free from phone provider - DSL2640r. It's a bit of a basic one and as I live in a large 3 storey house can only get a signal in half the ground floor. i need to upgrade my router - can anybody recommend one that gives a greater range ?

A new router may not be much better than the old one in a large 3 storey house. The signal could be degraded by the house structure.

Have you considered a home plug system? There are also range boosters.
