2nd connection to router - fails

Setting up a second computer onto my BT Home Hub2 by utilizing the second outlet it initally failed then connected and asked for a new user name password- this being presumably the router-it giving default name and password Having entered a replacement it several times it repeatedly came up as error because of the use of not allowed characters - when in fact I have not done so. Remedy any one please

I bleated too soon it seems The situation was as of last evening. I composed and posted the thread and did other stuff on main machine before moving over to 2nd machine.

When I did everything was ticketyoo as be seen by this post on lovely Unbuntu 11
