I made a biquad antenna and have mounted it on a satellite dish. My house and business are only 2 miles away I wanted to use my home network and save some money. I have tested the dish and I can get connected but where my computer is in the office in 2nd building is some distance from the homemade antenna and the antenna is just connected to a modified wifi USB dongle which just connects into the computer. The distance from the antenna to the building is less than 20m but in order to run it to the computer requires more.
Is their any way to connect the antenna to a repeater and then wirelessly connect to it.
This would then do away with additional length of cable I need to the computer. I could then just put the repeater/router at the shortest point of entry into the building.
Is their a router that can take the antenna I have made and then transmit the signal. I see on some routers that there is only one antenna and its for broadcasting. Is their routers out that can take an external antenna and broadcast also is in effect one in and one out?
