Avira User problems

I have noticed on a few different site's about Scareware and pop ups from Avira.

This from the Avira Forum.link text

Just wondered if this was affecting any Forum members and what they think about it.

I use AVG at the moment and was thinking about downloading Avira until i spotted some of the bad publicity.

I have been totally happy with Avira Free for 3 years.

There is a daily 'nag' screen, which many don't like but it doesn't bother me. (I believe there is a hack somewhere to disable it)

Avira is highly rated and is low on system resources.

I take it you do not get the pop ups from Uniblue then.

Mo. I had Uniblue once.

I uninstalled it. But I seem to remember it was a persistent bugger and took a bit of effort.
