TV/iPad2

I have a modern Panasonic HDTV & iPad2 but don't seem to be able to transfer the iPad screen documents to the TV screen even though I have the proper Apple HDMI AV connector.

It's probably down to the order in which I should do things. My spare HDMI3 is where I want to make the connection. I know how to select this option from the AV control on my TV handset. I have the correct PAL option selected on the iPad2. Any recommendations would be very

Do photos display correctly? Are you using Keynotes for documents?
