How have i got audio files as mp4?

Hi, i've just tried to transfer some audio files from my PC to my mp3 player but have found that they are actually mp4 files so wont play. When i play them on my PC there is no video showing, just audio. I have two questions- 1, how can this have happened as i thought all mp4 files were video? 2, how can i convert them to mp3 files please?

no they are not you c\n convet them with super choose download from Mirror link once this link opens drag your files in and chose mp3 as output link text
