I have the above printer and am running Windows XP Home. I have just replaced the black cartridge (not photo) and it will not print any text. It will print in any other colour except black. The indicator is showing that it is full and ready. Anyone got any ideas. Would be extremely grateful.

The head may be blocked - try running the head cleaning utility (more than once if necessary). Clean Head Instructions

Looks likely, it does happen. Worth trying another (was it genuine or pattern? Not that it should really matter - I use cheap copies all the time with no problem).
