Huwaei Router HG520u Problem

I've just installed the above wireless router which wont set up an Internet connection. I've tried using the installation CD and "Obtain an IP address automatically" and also inputting the address, subnet mask etc using the numbers given by my ISP via Control Panel, Internet Connections etc, but cant get a connection. Am I right in thinking that if I cant access the set up page the router itself is probably faulty. The line has checed out OK and I had no problems with my old router which got fried in an electrical storm recently. I'm using Win XP and any help will be appreciated.

Might pay to have a look at the installation instructions www.otenet.gr/hd/HTML/adsl/documents/huaweileafleten.pdf
It would also help to check for the latest firmware on the HG520 models, because sometimes this can be an added bonus on these routers. They do get rather warm while working, and cool-off on standby.
If you want to get into the router, then try 192.168.1.1 in your browser, then put 'admin' in both pass boxes that should appear. But I cannot guarantee that this method will work with your router, but worth a try perhaps?.

Thanks spuds. I've tried setting the router up on another PC but still no progress. I'll have a think over the weekend.

Turned out that the storm had alsofried my ethernet adapter. Probably should have thought of that in the first place. All OK now thanks.
