Bluetooth Mouse Query

I've had a Logitech MX1000 Bluetooth mouse for about three years and am very used to it. My recently purchased desktop has Bluetooth built into it, and the MX1000 connects quite easily. Trouble is it only lasts for about half an hour when the conenction is lost. I have to either restart or remove and reinstall the mouse. I do not want to move to another mouse, although I do have an M705 which works with the unifying receiver, but is somewhat smaller and not as comfortable. The question is can I use the Bluetooth dongle that came with the MX1000, or will it clash with the existing Bluetooth, which is obviously a later version. I do not want to mess things up.

Grateful for any help.

lost connection after half hour sounds as if PC is switching off the Bluetooth to conserve power

Device manager - click on the bluetooth - properties - power option untick allow the computer to switch off..

That was it, have unticked the box, so see what happens now.

Thank you.

If it still loses it I will use the Bluetooth dongle that came with it.

Thanks again
