I have a V small hard drive with dual booting, XP and Ubuntu and would like to free up some space. There are about 100 files as above and would like to know if they can be removed safely. Has anyone done this successfully and is it worth it?

They are Microsoft update un-installers, if you remove them you will not be able to un-install the updates. If your system is OK and stable you can remove them. Is it worth it - probable not.

Wiz-King,

Thanks for your reply, system is stable and if there is any risk involved, probably best left alone.

Hope this is the proper place to reply, the site has been revamped since I last visited.
