Acer Aspire 1810 unreliable graphics

Hi Quite frequently, when I turn on my Acer laptop, the screen is all fuzzy and badly distorted. If I turn it off & power up again, it usually disappears but not always. Doi you think it's a graphics card problem or something else? If it needs a repair, any suggestions for a reliable & efficient repairer? I live near Brighton. Many thanks

That sounds very much like the laptop's display is using the wrong screen resolution. It can frequently happen when a laptop comes out of standby or wakes from sleep. Next time it happens, try this:
In Windows 7, right-click an empty area of the Desktop and choose "Screen Resolution". In the "Resolution" section, ensure it's set to the "Recommended" mode which in your case appears to be 1366 x 768.
