Rather than having to change the font and size every time I open a blank doc. how do I make the changes so that my selection of font/size etc is default.

Create a new template! Open up a new document as a template. Set the font etc. you want and save it as the normal.dot or what ever the extension is. Make sure you save it to the same position as the existing normal.dot is in.

Hope this helps.

If it's just the font/size you want to change.

Opened a new doc.

Go to the home tab and click on the small arrow to the bottom right of the fonts the font window will open.

Select your font and the size you require.

Click on Default bottom left you will get the option to change the font on the Normal template to your selected font.

A new doc should now open with your selected font/size.
