link text looks like my USB Mass storage device needs updating.

Ran a USB update from Medion this morning but it looks like it does not cover the Mass USB Storage device.

Anyone any idea as to how I can get the proper update.

Medion MS-7713 According to SIW.

Yes switching the signatures off makes it work. That one say's it is digitally signed by Microsoft but the program I ran says it is the only one that is not digitally signed, So not sure what is next at the moment it was updated on the 12th of may so that must have been very close to the Windows updates.

Never found anything for it in Services. And cannot roll back the driver.

Will have a look in the back up and see if I can find it. Or I have a disc with back up drivers on it.

Will probably wait till tomorrow to see what happens next.

Thanks for you help so far.

Now If I get the driver from the recovery partition how do I install it without Windows updating it first.

Not really got any idea as to what driver is needed as I cannot find one for USB mass storage.

Everytime I delete it Microsoft tries to install the proper digitally signed driver but every time it fails.

So can only assume the driver that is installed is corrupt.

This is what I get when looking for drivers in recovery partition.

And this is what I get when I try to remove it or change the wording.

probably will not work as I forgot to sign in again [what a nuisance]but lets see

I get this same message and I have worked it out to be the printer card reader. I used driver max and if my printer is off it highlights a new driver if the printer is on it is uptodate so I just ignore it, might be your problem

What it is Microsoft in their wisdom decided that they would only allow signed drivers so if you download an unsigned one it does not want to know.

Unfortunately this is supposed to be a Microsoft signed driver but it is unsigned hence all of the problems and I can't seem to be able to delete it.

I suppose Microsoft are trying to get you to download their drivers only.

Going into safe mode Microsoft give you the opertunity of using unsigned drivers and when you reboot it works fine until you reboot again and you get the same problem.

Probably easy enough to fix but so far I cannot work out how.

This is the only unsigned driver I have and it is from Microsoft but I am not sure how I am supposed to delete or repair it. If I delete it from Device manager Microsoft jump in with the proper driver at reboot but it does not allow it to run.
