Logitech Pro9000 software not working?

WinXPPro SP3 WinxpPro SP3

Logitech Pro9000 Webcam.

Both the Logitech programm and Skype were working fine.

I had a virus problem, which was resolved without a reinstall.

I now find that although Skype is working fine with the webcam, the Logitech programme is not available.

The Logitech Vid HD Icon in the taskbar is greyed out. when I right click on it and "Show Window" the window opens with the Message "Logitech Vid HD was not able to connect properly" When I click on "Settings - applications and device settings" the Logitech Webcam opens fine with the Settings controls. I have uninstalled and reinstalled without success.

Any ideas please?

Try a System Restore back to before you had the virus attack.

Nontek, thanks, it took ten days to resolve my virus problem, with the help of http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ and my System Restore only went back 9 days, we have resolved that by using ERUNT now.

I'd try uninstalling again then run the CCleaner registry cleaner to get rid of left-over odds and ends, then try another install.
