shrink programme api files dvd

I have some api files which I would like to record on to a dvd but they are too big for one disc. Does anyone know of a shrink programme which is free to download or which would do the job thankyou

I was going to suggest DVD Shrink (it's free), but then I thought, hang on, what's an .API file (other than a plug in for Adobe)
