Complete Uninstall of HP Universal Printer Driver

The Potter

My printer at work was running slow and support told me to update the firmware. I couldn't find it at first so updated the driver to the universal driver instead. Since then my HP CP2025dn colour, duplexing printer will either print in colour and not duplex (option to install duplex not available) or it will duplex but not print in colour (colour settings not available) and also watermark the word 'None' on all my documents.

I have tried to uninstall in everyway I know and removing the UPD from the server props was one. I have since searched for and deleted all HP drivers I could find and removed any reference to printers and HP in the registry but still, when I try to install the driver I want, the plug and play finds the printer and installs it with the UPD. Running WIN XP.

Help please!
