Enumerating Hardware

I have run a Dell XPS 720 with Windows Home Premium for several years. Only in the last few months have I had this problem. Every few weeks a program starts running, showing minimised in the task bar as "Enumerating Hardware". As soon as it starts the PC freezes, I cannot start Task Manager to see what it is, and I have to do a hard reboot. I cannot find anything through Google, Dell, Microsoft, PC Advisor.

Any ideas?

Problem solved! This is part of Dell Support Centre which I donwloaded from the Dell site last November. Just clicking on Dell Support Center freezes the PC so I have uninstalled it and all should be OK.

Thanks a lot, Dell.
