Further - Re: 64 bit video card the video card does not care what OS is running. as long as the OS can communicate to the card through the PCI/PCI-express BUS. The OS may care about drivers, but thats a completely different story.

The card will work on any machine that has a pcie slot.

i think i get you so far just to make sure though here is my pcs specs :

Processor : Intel(R) Celeron(R) D CPU 3.46GHz 3.47GHz Memory (RAM) : 1.00 GB System Type : 32-bit Operating System

and here is the card i want to buy : NY Nvidia GeForce 8400GS PCI-E Graphics Card * BUS Technology: PCI Express 2.0 * Memory Amount: 256MB DDR2 Supporting 512MB * Memory Interface: 64-bit * Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec.): 6.4 * Fill Rate (billion pixels/sec.): 4.5 * Shader Clock (MHz): 1400 MHz * Core Clock(MHz): 567 MHz * Memory Frequency (effective): 800 MHz

i am also using a 32' 1080p tv if that makes any difference
