hd wont load

i have just been trasfering some video files from my computer to my WD hd and for what ever reason it failed so i unplugged the hd and replugged in but now when i open my computer the drive is not listed tried plugging drive into another computer and still no joy pls help

If you unplugged the drive without first using the "Safely Remove Hardware" facility, this may have corrupted the drive.
If you go into Disk Management ("Start > Run", type diskmgmt.msc and click OK) is the drive shown? It may be necessary to format the drive to regain use of it, although this would involve the loss of the data on the drive.
