allow or not

I have security software giving me an option to allow or not an update as follows: Name: InstalIQUpdater Company: W3i, LLC C:\ Program files(x86)\InstallIQUpdate ....\InstallIQUpdater

Allow or not ( or allow once) Anyone familiar with this - is it possible it could be malware?

You can read what "InstalIQUpdater" is on this page, but I wouldn't have thought that you needed it unless you have particular programs that use it to obtain updates.
