I already deleted it and reinstalled it and it still did not work so tried again using Revo Uninstaller again but on setting 4 this time.

It meant I lost all of my add-ons and favourites but they are easy enough installed again.

I did not want to import the favorites from I/E just in case.

Anyhow it is working fine now so thanks again for your help.

have you run system optimisation in the latest version noticed the pc is a lot perkier since running it on all options.

Yes all options were ticked when I ran it but the PCA site has been that slow I was not sure if it was a problem with running the optimisation or PCA.

Completely removing Firefox and reinstalling it again makes it work Ok now.

So will need to wait and see if things work any quicker for me now.

buteman, PCA was down it the dumps badly yesterday. not much a difference in xp, but system optimisation certainly noticed in w7.

I think WinASO is a nice free little gem that so few use.

Yes I have to agree with you a really good program and what puts many off is it only repairing 10 problems at a time.

But once you run it once or twice the problems it finds are workable.

I have always found it to be better than C Cleaner but that may only be my opinion.

Just in case anyone else gets the same problem when you open System Optimizer in Winaso there is a restore button on it and if you press that Firefox then works Ok.
