Firefox Problem

When I start it, it flashes up briefly on screen then minimises itself, and will not maximise again. CPU usage goes up to 60 to 70 odd percent, Memory usage is over 80 percent and I am effectively locked out.

I have tried reinstalling (twice) but it doesn't stop it. AV scan and malwarebytes scan show no problems. I am going to try again, only this time I will try to clean the registry of any FF entries.

I'd be gratefull if anyone has any ideas, IE and Opera just aren't the same.

Win7 64bit i5 laptop with 4gb of memory.

Working fine now.

The problem seems to have been something to do with 'Firefox personal data and customizations'. You are given the option to remove these during the uninstall, I kept them the first few times, didn't want to lose all my bookmarks.

buteman it was set run in Normal Window, thanks for the input, I didn't know that option was there.
