Can I use this for additional storage on my nice new iPAD, PLEASE? Can't seem to find a slot for it Thanks in advance for help

If it takes a SD card you can get a micro SD card Adapter

Nope. The iPad 1/2 has no SD Card Slot.

It seems it may be possible with various combinations of card readers and the camera cable connection kit.

Correct if you have the iPad Camera Connection Kit (sold separately), then you can utilise the MicroSD Card. However it will limit the iPads portability.
