hi i have pc running w7 + internet and other pc running wxp not connected to net which i use for my midi and music can i use a double male usb cable to transfer my files over from pc 1 to pc 2 pc with no internet connection thanks kirriejim

Not exactly the cable needs to be a like this

You could netwrok the machines together via a router they do not need to have web access.

or directly using a crossover cable tutorial

CAT 6 is now avaiable but you can get patch and crossover in both.

If you are not goig via a router but direct from 1 pc to the other you need a crossover cable.
