windows office preloaded

I have 2 laptops with Office preloaded and must buy key to activate, each laptop will need a separate purchase. It will much cheaper to buy the software package which can be loaded on up to 3 pcs. What would be the effect of loading my software on each machine? Will loading my software over the existing preloaded software cause any problems?

Why can't you uninstall the preloaded, then install the package?

I would buy the 3 user licence version and then try using the key from this to validate the pre-loaded version. I think that I did this on one of my machines but it's a while back and I may be wrong. If the key doesn't work for the pre-loaded version you have lost nothing and you can then do as Graphicool1 advises.
