Restore deleted Outlook Express folder

Dragonfly2

We use Windows XP and Outlook Express 6.

Recently I deleted an Outlook Express folder by mistake, and it went into the Recycle Bin. I've recovered it from there, but can't read the file.

I can see it as file.dbx in the Outlook Express folder, in Windows Explorer, but when I try and open it, it says it can't because it needs to know what programme created it.

Under the list of suggested programmes, Outlook Express is not listed, and I haven't got very far using the Web.

Has anyone got any suggestions, please?
