Above webcam did not come with a disk. Plug and play type. I tried to download a driver. 1)Is it possible to go back to the original settings for this webcam? 2)I did not know which to click on when It gave me a choice. One was for """HD but when I read it it said not for Skype so choose not to download that one. Could you advise me please which should I have clicked on for the best results. I wanted a bright light under dark circumstances.

Try Add and Remove Programmes. Remove anything relating to Logitech, then go to that site I gave you and let Logitech search for your camera. There is nothing to pay for any of the required downloads.

March Wind cannot find Logitech in Add/Remove programmes. That is why I think that the icon on the desktop is for the Logitech Webcam Pro 900 installation.

compumac - sorry, missed that.

March Wind. Try deleting the icons (if there's no logitech progs in add/remove, then none are installed). I'd go for Skype too - open it and plug in the webcacm. Skype will see it and you won't need to download anything - just means you won't have the fancy Logitech tweaks.

I would endorse going for Skype as opposed to Vid. I have the software for the Logitech Pro 9000 installed and it is useful for several reasons. Can give more info on that if so required.

'is useful for several reasons'

I agree, but as he's having problems, though it might be an easy solution for now.

Oh good - it's started raining at last. Off to the allotment!
