Windows media player - Nero 7

I have uninstalled Nero 7 from my computer, because it had a problem, and now my Media player will only show video in a quarter of the screen.

I can get the full size screen OK, but the film is only a quarter of the size and a poor resolution. All other graphic and audio works OK, including windows graphic visulations.

I have tried sfc /scannow (which normally fixes problems) and have re-installed the media player (download from Microsoft), same problem.

Any Suggestions

Might be something to do with the ActiveX control Something here?

I have taken the easy route and re-installed Nero 7, which has restored my WMP to normal.

However I assume it must have changed something in the registry, and although I know a small amount about the registry, I would not try changing it unless I was sure of the setting to change.

Thanks for all who viewed and Fruitbat for his suggestion.
