Warning IE script causing slowdown?

A fault, new to me is showing as a warning box popping up whenever I open an email option. (BT Yahoo IE8)

Windows Internet Explorer

*Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly.

If it continues to run your computer might become unresponsive.

Stop running this page Yes - No*

If I click on Yes, the box disappears and I can do what I want, until next time I go to email.

Have closed and reloaded email, rebooted from cold, and run Supermalwarebytes without making any difference. The box pops up, I click 'Yes' The box disappears and all seems normal until next time.

Can anyone offer a reason/solution for this happening which seems more nuisance than threat?
