Right. Cards on table. I know next to nothing about laptops, notebooks or netbooks. My wife wants a laptop which allows her to use the internet and do some gaming. When we talk about gaming we're looking at strategy games, Empire Total War, Settlers, Anno 1404 etc. I'm also looking for something fairly inexpensive. All help appreciated.

I am with 'wee eddie' on this.If you want to play these types of games I am afraid it is going to cost more than £300 unless you get second hand.
