Updates don't configure

I am running Vista on my laptop. Over the last few days, when I turn on I get 'updates are configureing' then 'unable to configure and reverting'. Is there anything I can to?

On the right hand side of your post you will see an arrow click on it and it will turn green that that's how you resolve threads now.
