Duplicate picture finder software

Hi all

For years now I have lazily managed my photographs into many folders on my PC. I would like to find the dulpicate pictures and delete them. I am compiling all my photographs into Picasa Web Albums, I know the standalone PC version of Picasa can find and delete duplicate photos but I don't want to use Picasa to manage my photographs. I just want to delete duplicated photographs that I have in many folders before I upload them into their respective Picasa Web Album.

Any ideas please on the best program that can find and delete duplicated photographs from pictures stored in Windows folders?

What a fab little piece of software - effortless.

The simple ones are the best. Now I can delete the complicated ones I downloaded eariler.

I use Visipics as it not only finds duplicates but also those that are very similar so if you have taken multiple shots in sequence it will show them all for you to pick the best.
