another internet user lowering usage

Hi guys, I am administrator of my router/broadband. I got NETGEAR DGN1000 and Orange Home Broadband. But recently moved into my flat new tenants who also using my internet (i give them wifi password) but when they're connected my connection speed is decreasing badly, maybe they are downloading i don't know. How can i lower they usage/speed or limit their downloads?

Unless you trust the tenants 100 percent, I would not recommend giving them the wifi password, because you have even said yourself 'maybe they are downloading i don't know'.

The thing is, the tenants could be downloading anything, and with you been the broadband account holder, you could get into trouble if they are downloading something dodgey.
