Hi,

I have a Dell C640 laptop and a Toshiba Regza tv. I am trying to connect these together to watch videos etc but having no luck.

The cable i am using is a VGA to RCA cable (RCA end with a green, red and blue adapter). The back of the tv has these coloured ports but when i connect the laptop i get nothing.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Colin

You need to use the VGA output on laptop to VGA input on the TV Set the laptop to external screen mode Fn+ one of the F keys (blue square) Set the TV to PC input (from TV menu source selection)

The RCA cables could be output only but if they are input then: Set the laptop to external screen mode Fn+ one of the F keys (blue square) Set the TV to RCA (composit) input (from TV menu source selection)
