Hi, I have had various sites telling me to change to Windows 7 for free, as at the moment I am Windows XP. Is it safe to revert to Windows 7 or is it likely that I will confront a problem, and is this cosha?

First you would need to find out if your PC is capable of running Windows 7 - you can download the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor from Microsoft link text

No it's not. You don't get genuine W7 for free.

Also if you change from XP to W7 you have to do a clean install, you can't 'upgrade' over the top of XP, so you have to start from scratch and all on your harddrive is wiped.
