hope this is the right place to post? I want to know if it is possible to see if an e-mail that I have sent via my hotmail email address has been opened by the recipient (another hotmail or other email programme user)? It is INORDINATELY complicated to find anything out on Hotmail itself, and seems to be designed like a MAZE that puts you off finding out anything pertinent to this subject, thanks PCDIMWIT

If you're using a email client and if the receiver is using a email client to receive his emails (rather than the webpage) and if he has it enabled and if he chooses to send one (its not a stealth operation and he will be given the choice of whether to send it or not.

If all of the above is true then yes you can receive a read receipt, if anyone is a no then no you can't do it

Nontek, thanks for that link to Imageshack.us, I am a bit worried about this programme as I tried to download it (I am in Holland at present) and it went OK but then right near the end a big sign came up saying that this programme can cause windows to crash and to look for an additional software, so I cancelled it, I use one laptop in Nederland and a different one in England, dont want to do anything to compromise the set up, so I'll leave that till I have more time as I am in UK tomorrow and dont want to mess up this laptop before I am away. thanks PCDIMWIT
