Are the DBX files of Windows 2000 and XP compatible?

I have created a folder in XP outlook express and placed my old Windows 2000 DBX files in the same file location, yet I cannot open them.

Any ideas anyone?

Yes, I can see them ( New XP DBX and old DBX) in C:\DOCUME~1\DAVIDB~1\APPLIC~1\IDENTI~1{4E277~1\MICROS~1\OUTLOO~1.

New file opens Old ones don't? DGB
