Yesterday for no apparent reason my Google mail inbox developed a 10cm horizontal stripe across it. The boxes for "Delete" etc are a jumble down the left hand side of this stripe, they do however work.

I haven't knowingly picked up any nasties after a scan using Malwarebytes and Microsoft security essentials. Tried Googles own helpline to no avail.

Running Vista home basic.

Interesting!!!! Just changed from IE8 to Chrome and the Gmail has gone to normal!!

Done it. Found out that somehow "compatibility view" had been turned on.
